On April 25, SteelOrbis reported ex-India ferrochrome offers to China down at $1,900-1,980/mt CIF China.

Sources have informed SteelOrbis that the ex-India ferrochrome prices declined further through the week reaching a current range of $1,765-1,870/mt CIF China. The price declined $135/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $110/mt from the top of the same range. The price erosion is attributed to weak demand from the Chinese buyers. Additionally, Chinese buying activity is expected to remain on hold until after May 2 due to local holidays.
