On March 14, SteelOrbis reported that ex-India DRI offers slipped to $380-385/mt CFR Bangladesh.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that import offer prices have decreased further on slow demand. DRI import prices now reportedly wide at $370-380/mt CFR Bangladesh. The prices have decreased $10/mt from the bottom of the range and $5/mt from the top of the same range.

With recent downtrends in domestic DRI prices, pellet prices in Eastern India, and billet offer prices along with a slowdown in domestic rebar trades, a source noted that “if buyer interest continues limited and domestic support is lacking, prices for export DRI may trickle down further.”
