A Turkish steel producer, based in the Marmara region, has recently booked a cargo from the EU to be shipped in December from Amsterdam. The lot includes HMS I/II 75:25 at $263/mt CFR and bonus grade at $278/mt CFR level. With this sale, the estimated HMS I/II 80:20 price is at $268/mt CFR, up $4/mt higher from the price in the deal previously reported from Belgium, SteelOrbis understands. Sources expect that in the coming days ex-US scrap may be booked at $270-272/mt CFR.
