Ex-CIS pig iron prices remain stable

Over the past week, ex-CIS pig iron offers to the export markets have remained stable at $335-345/mt FOB. According to market sources, Italian buyers have continued their inquiries for ex-CIS pig iron, while demand in the US for pig iron from the CIS is still slack. In the given period, ex-CIS pig iron offers to Italy have remained unchanged at $360-365/mt CIF, though these offers have failed to result in actual sales. Meanwhile, CIS-based pig iron suppliers have concluded some deals to the US at $355/mt CIF.

As reported by market sources, a South African supplier has offered pig iron to Turkey at $327/mt CIF.
