Over the past week, ex-CIS pig iron prices have remained stable at $390-410/mt FOB, while no new deals have been concluded. Meanwhile, ex-CIS pig iron offers to the US are at $415-420/mt CFR. Market sources state that pig iron stocks in Porto Marghera in northern Italy are at low levels and so ex-CIS pig iron offers to Italy, which were considered to be on the high side before, have started to gain acceptance. Ex-CIS pig iron offers to Italy have also remained unchanged week on week at $415/mt CFR.
