Ex-CIS pig iron prices

During the past week, demand for ex-CIS pig iron has been at low levels, while pig iron offers from the CIS region to the export markets have moved sideways week on week at $230-240/mt FOB.

Due to Ukraine's Constitution Day holiday celebrated on June 27-28, no new pig iron offer from Ukraine has been heard in the export markets. On the other hand, Russian pig iron producers have completed their sales for July and August shipments and so they are not giving offers to the export markets either.
