It is observed that demand in the international markets for pig iron exports from the CIS region has improved slightly with the influence of the declines recorded in ex-CIS pig iron prices two weeks ago. Market sources state that purchases of ex-CIS pig iron have accelerated slightly since prices fell, while they are expecting a sideways movement in ex-CIS pig iron quotations in the short term. Pig iron offers from CIS region to international markets have remained unchanged over the past two weeks and are still at $320-360/mt FOB.
