Sources have informed SteelOrbis that the latest ex-Brazil offers on basic steelmaking pig iron have increased to $385-395/mt CFR. The range increased $15/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $20/mt from the top of the same range. Offers are reportedly at $380-385/mt FOB Northern Brazil ports and $350-360/mt FOB Southern Brazil ports. Due to distance, the southern region encounters higher freight charges.
