Ex-Brazil pig iron export offers to US widen

On February 10, SteelOrbis reported basic steelmaking pig iron offers from Brazil to the US at $390-395/mt FOB Northern Brazilian port and $370-380/mt FOB Southern Brazilian port with offers at $400/mt CFR US port.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that Brazilian basic steelmaking pig iron is reportedly at $380-385/mt FOB Northern Brazil port and $370-380/mt FOB Southern Brazilian port. The offers from Northern Brazil have declined by $10/mt while offers from the Southern region have remained relatively stable, although sources note a slight movement in offers toward the higher end of the range.

The FOB offers roughly translate to approximately $392-405/mt CFR US port, wider than two weeks ago.
