Ex-Baltic scrap prices inch up in Turkey

The week has begun with a fresh deep sea import scrap booking disclosed to the market. A Marmara region-based Turkish mill has purchased a total of 25,000 mt of scrap ex-Baltic to be shipped in March. In the deal, HMS I/II 80:20 was priced at $276/mt CFR and bonus grade at $286/mt CFR. As a result, the ex-Baltic HMS I/II 80:20 benchmark level has inched up by $2/mt compared to the previous transaction.
