Ex-Australia coking coal prices trend stable

On May 10, SteelOrbis reported that PHCC (premium hard coking coal) offers to India were reportedly at $210-211/mt FOB Australia and HCC at $183-184/mt FOB Australia. In CFR India terms, the PHCC price was reportedly at $222-223/mt while HCC is reportedly at $195-196/mt.

Sources now inform SteelOrbis that PHCC offers to India are presently at $210-211/mt FOB Australia and HCC at $183-184/mt FOB Australia. In CFR India terms, the PHCC price is now reportedly at $222-223/mt while HCC is reportedly at $195-196/mt. In CFR terms, prices for both grades are trending the same as May 10. A source noted that prices on PHCC coking coal increased during week 20 (May 13 to May 16) but adjusted to present levels again as of May 17.
