SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that three Turkish buyers have recently concluded ex-US scrap deals for June shipments.
Accordingly, in the first transaction a Turkish mill concluded a deal for a mixed scrap cargo totaling 40,000 mt composed of HMS I/II 80:20 at $367/mt CFR, shredded scrap at $372/mt CFR and P&S scrap at $377/mt CFR.
In another booking, a different Turkish steelmaker concluded an ex-Houston deal for 40,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 at the average price level of $372/mt CFR.
In addition, a Turkish buyer has concluded a booking for a mixed scrap cargo consisting of 13,000 mt of HMS I/II 90:10 scrap, 10,000 mt of shredded scrap and 2,000 mt of bonus grade scrap at the average price of $370/mt CFR.
