December settled scrap prices in the US Northeast

US Northeast scrap prices have settled up substantially during this month’s buy cycle.  Prices, however, swung widely depending on the buyer and the seller-- and some sellers reported selling P&S scrap up to $40/gt ($41/mt) higher than the average transaction price. 

The average price ranges for HMS I, shredded, P&S and busheling scrap are listed in the chart below.
