CIS pig iron offers to the US

Sources inform SteelOrbis that the top end of pig iron offers by CIS producers is being influenced by robust US demand. Offer prices of basic steelmaking pig iron are reportedly at $370-395/mt FOB with the lower end offers targeted to the EU region, including Italy, and the higher end offers targeted to the US.

Recent deals by US buyers at $405-415/mt CFR US port translated to roughly $390-395/mt FOB Ukraine or $395-399/mt FOB Baltic Sea.

Low manganese pig iron grades such as nodular and foundry are reportedly at $405-410/mt FOB Baltic sea.
