SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have declined by NTD 500/mt ($17/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,600-9,300/mt ($287-310/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have dropped by NTD 9,000/mt ($300/mt) over the past week to NTD 31,500-34,000/mt ($1,050-1,133/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late August shipments.
