Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 22

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have remained stable over the past week at NTD 12,300-13,000/mt ($419-443/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have dropped NTD 5,000/mt ($170/mt) over the past week to NTD 48,500-51,000/mt ($1,653-1,738/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late June/early July shipments.
