SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have decreased by NTD 1,300/mt ($44/mt) over the past week to NTD 14,700-15,400/mt ($497-521/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have dropped by NTD 2,000/mt ($67/mt) over the past week to NTD 57,500-60,000/mt ($1,947-2,031/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late May shipments.
