SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have remained stable over the past week at NTD 9,400-10,100/mt ($286-308/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have declined by NTD 2,000/mt ($61/mt) over the past week to NTD 34,000-36,500/mt ($1,036-1,112/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-May shipments.
