Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 53

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased NTD 1,000/mt ($21/mt) over the past week to NTD 11,200-11,900/mt ($399-438/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 39,000-41,500/mt ($1,388-1,477/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late January shipments.
