SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 400/mt during the past week to NTD 8,600-8,900/mt ($285-295/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have moved up by NTD 500/mt over the past week to NTD 36,500-39,000/mt ($1,209-1,291/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for middle and late November shipments.
