SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have decreased by NTD 200/mt over the past week to NTD 7,100-7,800/mt ($241-265/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 32,500-35,000/mt ($1,104-1,188/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early August shipments.
