Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 29

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 300/mt over the past week to NTD 8,500-8,900/mt ($273-286/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained unchanged over the past week at NTD 32,500-35,000/mt ($1,045-1,126/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-August shipments.
