With stable iron ore prices in the Chinese spot market and unchanged ocean freight rates, the prices of Brazilian iron ore did not change in the last week, with the exception of lumps, which had the premium over equivalent sinter feed fines reduced by an estimated $3/mt.

The country’s sinter feed fines of 65 percent iron contents are traded for export at $56/mt, lumps at $70/mt and blast furnace grade pellets at $102/mt, FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, the prices are now $50/mt for sinter feed fines, $64/mt for lumps and $96/mt for blast furnace grade pellets, ex-works, no taxes included.
