Following the ex-Estonia transaction SteelOrbis shared earlier this week, another scrap booking to Turkey has been heard from the same region.

SteelOrbis has learned that a Marmara-based steelmaker has concluded the deal in question from the Baltic region, with HMS I/II 80:20 scrap standing at $433/mt CFR. The cargo will be loaded from two destinations ex-Klaipeda-Lithuania and ex-Poland, though no further details have been shared yet. This level is just $1/mt lower than the price recorded in the ex-Estonia booking.

Meanwhile, the shortage of scrap on the short sea side continues amid the lack of ships. Market players state that the workable levels are still in the range of $415-420/mt CFR Turkey.
