As of today, July 5, wire rod prices in Turkey have risen by $50-90/mt compared to the end of last week, mainly for August-early September deliveries, while a limited tonnage is available from stocks depending on the size and quality.

In the Marmara region, wire rod prices increased by $70/mt yesterday and an additional increase of $20/mt has been seen today both for September deliveries. Demand is sluggish ahead of the Feast of Sacrifice holiday.

One Iskenderun-based issued its official wire rod prices at $700/mt ex-works yesterday, while another mill in the region closed its wire rod sales at the beginning of this week.
