Wire rod prices in Turkey increase by $10/mt

Local Turkish wire rod prices have risen by $10/mt over the past week due to the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment and rapid currency fluctuations.

Turkish mills are trying to keep their prices firm as they are busy dealing with their export orders. Currently, Turkish mills are mainly offering for late December-early January delivery.

Most buyers are expected to conclude their new purchases next week in order to gain a better picture of the situation in the import scrap and billet segments.

Currently, the local offers for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:
