Wire rod prices in Taiwanese domestic market – week 41

The new wire rod prices in the local Taiwanese steel market are at the following levels:

Low carbon 5.5-12 mm

NTD 19,000-21,500/mt ($648-734/mt)

Medium carbon 5.5-12 mm

NTD 22,500-23,500/mt ($768-802/mt)

High carbon 5.5-12 mm

NTD 22,500-23,500/mt ($768-802/mt)

Low alloyed 5.5-12 mm

NTD 24,000-24,500/mt ($819-836/mt)

CHQ 5.5-32 mm

NTD 23,000-23,500/mt ($785-802/mt)


The above prices include five percent VAT and are also delivered to customer. The prices, which have declined by NTD 500/mt ($17/mt) since last week, are for shipments in mid-October.
