SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that, after a wire rod transaction from China to Pakistan last Friday, November 14, at the price level of $570/mt CFR, the uptrend in iron ore prices has also affected China's wire rod prices, with the latest ex-China wire rod transaction price to Pakistan reaching $590/mt CFR this week.

Currently, Chinese wire rod offers to Southeast Asia are standing at $540/mt FOB, though some market players think that this price level may surge in the coming period in line with higher iron ore prices.
