Wire rod export price still stable in Brazil

Brazilian producers remain negotiating wire rod of the mesh grade for export at $650/mt, FOB conditions, a price stable in five weeks, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

According to the same source, the reference price for the drawing grade product remains at $680/mt, FOB conditions.

In August, ArcelorMittal exported 23,300 mt of wire rod in average at $568/mt, Gerdau exported 13,700 mt at $493/mt and the Votorantim Group exported 300 mt at $544/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in June.
