Brazilian producers remain negotiating wire rod of the mesh grade for export at $620/mt, FOB conditions, a reference price now stable for two weeks, a local source told SteelOrbis.

According to the source, the shortage of material for export continues, as domestic producers are focused in the more rewarding prices of the domestic market.

In June, Brazil exported 16,000 mt of wire rod to the US at $671/mt FOB, and 15,600 mt to Latin American countries, in average at $622/mt FOB, while a small tonnage was shipped to Canada. Such prices include different quality grades of wire rod.
