SteelOrbis has been informed that no Greek rebar export sale has been concluded over the past week, while the most recent Greek rebar offers to export markets were at €500-510/mt ($575-587/mt) FOB.

Market sources state that Greek steel producers are receiving wire rod demand from export markets, and so they are focusing on wire rod export sales. Additionally, SteelOrbis has been informed that Greek steel mills are not expected to reduce their rebar export prices in the short term since they still consider global scrap prices to be on the high side.
