The US domestic wire rod market continues to trend “very slow,” according to sources, with limited activity and demand from end-use sectors. US wire rod mills are reportedly amenable to offering deals for anyone willing to book an order, and while the overall spot price range has not yet declined to reflect the deals, another downward shift could happen soon.

For now, US domestic wire rod spot prices are still generally at $25.50-$27.00 cwt. ($562-$595/mt or $510-$540/nt) ex-mill, with deals reported beneath the low end.
