Overall, US domestic rebar spot prices have maintained a steady trend in the general range of $36.00-$39.00 cwt. ($720-$780/nt or $794-$960/mt) ex-mill. But while SteelOrbis has reported certain deals for large buyers for the last several weeks, coming in closer to $35.00 cwt. ($700/nt or $772/mt) ex-mill, sources tell SteelOrbis they have heard of deals for even lower.

This week, the lowest price for US domestic rebar was heard at $34.00 cwt. ($680/nt or $750/mt) ex-mill, although sources say such deals might be outliers at this time. However, other sources report fewer transactions taking place at the high end of the spot range, indicating the range as a whole could shift downward in the near term.
