US import wire rod prices trend weak

Although offer prices for US import wire rod have not changed week-on-week, sources continue to report lackluster demand conditions and weak interest in booking orders. Offer prices from Malaysia are still in the range of $28.50-$29.00 cwt. ($628-$639/mt or $570-$580/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports, while offers from Germany are still being heard at $29.00-$29.50 cwt. ($639-$650/mt or $580-$590/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports.
