US import wire rod offers trend steady

US import wire rod offers are continuing to trend stable, although sources tell SteelOrbis that prices might tick upward if ocean freight rates continue to rise. For now, demand is not strong enough to justify an overall increase in average offer prices, which are stable week-on-week at $28.00-$29.00 cwt. ($617-$639/mt or $560-$580/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports from Germany.
