As part of a global push upward in rebar prices, US import rebar offers are up again week-on-week, with no indication prices will take a pause in the near-term. Offers from Turkey are up another $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt), bringing US import rebar prices into the range of $40.50-$41.50 cwt. ($893-$915/mt or $810-$830/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports.

Meanwhile, offers from Mexico are also up this week, by $0.50 cwt. ($11/mt or $10/nt), pushing offers into the range of $39.00-$40.00 cwt. ($860-$882/mt or $780-$800/nt) DDP Houston. Considering the strong demand for rebar in the US and solidly uptrending US domestic rebar prices, sources expect further upticks in US import rebar offers.
