Import rebar offers to the US from Turkey have not changed in the last week, but sources tell SteelOrbis that prices could dip further in the coming weeks. Buyers had been waiting to see if US domestic rebar mills would raise prices, and though many in the market expected an announcement in the last couple weeks, mills have remained quiet.

As such, buyers in the US are still inquiring about import rebar offers although some are holding back on booking for now. US import rebar offers from Turkey are still in the range of $46.00-$47.00 cwt. ($1,014-$1,036/mt or $920-$940/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports, while offers from Mexico are still at $47.00-$49.00 cwt. ($1,036-$1,080/mt or $940-$980/nt) DDP Houston.
