Offers for US import rebar from Turkey have remained neutral again week-on-week, despite lower export offers reported in Turkey. Sources tell SteelOrbis that US importers are reluctant to drop offer prices as US domestic rebar prices continue to rise, and they are reportedly holding off on making adjustments for now. Offers from Turkey are therefore unchanged in the range of $41.00-$42.00 cwt. ($904-$926/mt or $820-$840/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports.

Meanwhile, offers from Mexico are up slightly week-on-week due to strong demand for rebar in the US, with offer prices now in the range of $40.00-$41.00 cwt. ($882-$904/mt or $800-$820/nt) DDP Houston, up $0.50 cwt. ($11/mt or $10/nt) week-on-week. Sources expect further upticks in import rebar offers moving forward.
