At the beginning of the current week, Turkish wire rod producers reduced their export prices by an average of $5/mt week on week to $485-495/mt FOB. Market sources state that this new price level has gained acceptance from Africa and particularly from Israel. SteelOrbis has been informed that more than one wire rod cargo has been sold to Israel at price levels closer to the lower end of the above range.
