According to market sources, having focused on domestic wire rod demand for a while now, Turkish steel mills are still prioritizing domestic orders. It is observed that the demand in the local Turkish wire rod market is still at good levels due to ongoing construction works as well as new projects, while demand for Turkish wire rod in the international market is slacker than domestic demand. Meanwhile, Turkish wire rod producers’ export prices have remained unchanged over the past week at $490-500/mt FOB.
