According to market sources, demand for Turkish wire rod in the export markets is still at decent levels. On the other hand, the upward movement of Turkish rebar export prices has come to a halt after import scrap quotations for Turkey stopped moving up last week. As a result, Turkish steel producers' wire rod export quotations have remained stable in the past week at $480-500/mt FOB.
