Buyers in the international markets are in no rush to conclude new wire rod deals since China has mostly decreased its steel prices this week after its return from the long national holiday (Oct. 1-8). On the other hand, Turkish steel mills’ production costs have increased as the result of the rises seen in import scrap prices in Turkey in the deals concluded last weekend, and so Turkish steel producers have kept their wire rod export quotations stable at $550-570/mt FOB.
