During the past week, Turkish wire rod export prices have increased by an average of $20/mt to $610-620/mt FOB. The upward movement of Turkish wire rod export quotations has been supported by the ongoing rises seen in import scrap prices as of last week and also due to Turkish mills receiving a lot of demand both from their domestic and export markets for a long time now. Additionally, market sources state that the order books of most Turkish wire rod producers are full until May and so they cannot accept new orders for now.
