It is observed that demand for Turkish wire rod in the export markets has been at low levels over the past week. Turkish wire rod producers had reduced their export quotations to $540-545/mt FOB at the beginning of the current week. But, after receiving demand and concluding deals at this price range, Turkish wire rod prices have once again increased to last week’s levels at $550-560/mt FOB due to the rises recorded in scrap prices. SteelOrbis has been informed that buyers are considering this level to be on the high side, and so they are currently maintaining a wait-and-see stance.
