Since Turkish wire rod producers have been receiving demand from their domestic markets lower than their expectations, they continue to focus on exports. While global scrap prices have maintained their high levels, Turkish wire rod producers have reduced their profit margins as of the beginning of the week, decreasing their wire rod export offers by $5/mt to $535-545/mt FOB. On the other hand, SteelOrbis has been informed that Turkey is still concluding wire rod sales to Israel. Additionally, Far Eastern buyers are exerting downward pressure on Turkish wire rod export prices.
