Today, July 10, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mainly hiked by TRY 10-20/mt ($1-3/mt) over the day. Only in Marmara region rebar prices has remained unchanged for now. The general range is currently at TRY 3,380-3,420/mt ($417-422/mt) ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Icdas has remained its rebar price at TRY 3,400/mt ($420/mt) ex-works over the day. Most mills in the Marmara region have increased their prices by average TRY 25/mt($3/mt) over the day and recently set their prices at TRY 3,440-3,450/mt ($424-426/mt) ex-works.
Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has increased its rebar prices by TRY 50/mt ($6/mt) and set its new price at TRY 3,450/mt ($426/mt) ex-works, as of today. Another mill in this region is currently offering rebar at TRY 3,400/mt ($420/mt) ex-works. According to sources, the total tonnage traded yesterday in Izmir is 44,000 mt at TRY 3,360-3,380/mt ($414-417/mt) ex-works versus 32,000-mt at TRY 3,370-3,400 ($416-420/mt) ex-works discussed in the market previously.
In Iskenderun region, Koc Metalurgy has opened its rebar price at TRY 3,450/mt ($426/mt) ex-works as of today and closed its rebar sales in couple of hours. The rest of mills in this region is expected to be back to the market by next week.
