Today, July 26, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices in the local currency have remained unchanged in local currency, with minor changes seen on US dollar basis, as compared to Friday July 16, amid currency fluctuations and slow trading activity after the long holiday period. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,150-7,300/mt or $708-723/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
In the Marmara region, most mills are offering rebar at $725-730/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S., which keeps its rebar price at $730/mt ex-works for now.
In the Izmir region,the official rebar prices are standing at $715-720/mt ex-works. According to sources, one single mill has succeed to sell 1,000-5,000 mt of rebar at around $710/mt ex-works in the region today.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. has opened its rebar price today at TRY 7,350/mt ($728/mt) ex-works at the current exchange rate.
Some traders are having their time to monitor the import scrap price trend and not in a rush to restock for now.
