Today, February 4, spot prices in the Turkish domestic rebar market have risen by TRY 50-70/mt ($9-13/mt) in the Izmir and Marmara regions, while rebar prices in the other regions of the country have remained unchanged in the local currency, up by $4/mt over the day. Turkish mills’ general rebar price range has settled at TRY 5,000 /mt ($594/mt) ex-works, with slightly higher levels available at the current exchange rate. Sources report that Bastug Metallurgy, Yolbulan A.S., Icdas A.S. and Izmir Demir Celik(IDC) have all set the same rebar price today, at TRY 5,000 mt ($594/mt) ex-works. According to sources, around 7,000 mt of rebar were traded in the Marmara region at TRY 4,980/mt ($592/mt) ex-works earlier this week, without any confirmation by the time of publication.
