Today, July 5, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have risen by TRY 30-80/mt ($3-7/mt) following Icdas’s price hike today. Only in the Karabuk region have rebar spot prices have remained stable compared to the end of last week. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,230-7,380/mt or $707-721/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most Marmara-based mills are currently offering rebar at $730/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S. today.
In the Izmir region, most mills are currently offering rebar at $710-730/mt ex-works. According to sources, one mill in this region succeeded in selling around 10,000 mt of rebar at $705/mt ex-works this morning, while it adjusted its rebar price to $710/mt ex-works after this sale.
Demand seems relatively better in the Izmir region due to the aggressive pricing policy in the region.
