Today, July 27, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices in the local currency have decreased by TRY 30-50/mt ($3-5/mt) in Marmara and Izmir regions over the day, amid the negative sentiment on the demand side. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,150-7,250/mt or $708-718/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most Marmara-based mills has kept their official rebar prices at $725-730/mt ex-works, special discounts are applicable for serious buyers.
Most Izmir-based mills are currently offering $715-720/mt ex-works. According to sources, up to $10/mt discount is applicable for certain sizes in the region. As a result, local traders are also giving aggressive pricing to generate sales.
